Paul Gewirtz will direct an institute that will promote the development of the rule of law in China. He will undertake collaborative research and training projects with Chinese legal organizations on such issues as judicial reform. The institute will also convene a working group that will analyze what kind of activities are most effective in promoting the rule of law in China.
