Joan Petersilia will research and write a book about a set of issues surrounding the challenges posed by the release of offenders from prison. She will reew existing research, analyze data, and conduct interviews in order to learn more about the impact that former prisoners have on their families and communities after they are released and make recommendations for how policy makers should think about prisoner reentry.
