Susan Mayer will examine the relationship between government spending on anti-poverty programs and subsequent educational and labor market outcomes. She will study how children in states that have high rates of spending on anti-poverty programs fare in comparison to children in states that spend less in these areas. The project's findings will appear in a series of papers.
